When you think of Madison, one of the first things that come to mind are the lakes that surround this beautiful city. They make for the perfect backdrop no matter what time of the year, and bonus - no reservations required!

Shane wanted a complete surprise proposal, and knew that Margo liked oval solitaire rings. We ended up choosing the "Alexandria" ring without side stones as it is a popular choice for a solitaire and will always be in style. After picking the perfect lab-grown oval diamond and the 14k yellow gold metal color, it was made in about a month. During this time, Shane wanted to put together the perfect day for Margo, including hiring Kaley Rae Photography to snap the memories.

He also wanted to be able to celebrate with her family, so he asked them to secretly meet at the Edgewater Hotel so he could surprise her after their proposal. It worked! Congratulations to Shane and Margo! Do you love their oval diamond solitaire ring? Oval-cut has been hugely popular these last couple of years, and we don't see that slowing down any time soon. Many people love that they elongate the finger and don't compromise on the sparkle!
